I’ve kinda been weirdly down lately. Wanted to talk with you guys about it. Always makes me feel a bit better.
This year’s been really busy, which is what I wanted. It’s way more stuff than I was expecting and it’s AWESOME, but really confusing too, I guess. A lot of the stuff in the song “Be Alone” seems to be happening more and more. My dad says they’re “good problems.” And believe me, I’m not complaining. Making stuff for you guys is my FAVORITE thing in the world. It just seems lately like more people hate the fact I’m doing it even though they can just walk away if they don’t like it. Feels like middle school again or some shit. This is not about “haters”. I fucking hate that term. Everyone’s a hater. I’m a hater. I hate shit sometimes. It’s good to hate shit. Informed opinions are dope. I think I’m talking more about “assumers.”
I’m really excited about the EP. Can’t wait for you guys to hear it. Ludwig and I had a lot of fun making it. It’s kinda what my very first album should have been in college. It’s personal, but more fun I think. Anyways…
The IAMDONALD tour is gonna be dopeness. Can’t say much about it except for I can’t wait to see you guys there! In the final stages of prep for it. People going to SXSW will get to see it. I want it to be smooth. Silly and Classy. Like…a dude could show up in a red velvet robe and you’d be like “Hmm…that’s not out of place here.”
I wished people didn’t have to sleep. I wish there was more time too.

I doubt you’ll ever read this and think, “Damn, I wanna meet this dude.” But that’s exactly what I thought when I saw you and read about you. And then I found out you made music, holy shit. Blew my mind. Blows my mind. And we both know getting brain is the shit.
But you’re on another level entirely. I look up to you, even though I don’t even know you. I like to write, I want to write. But more than that, I want people to enjoy what I do just like I enjoy what you do. You are the essence of dopeness, and I hope to meet you one day. Maybe share a few glasses, whiskey neat.
